UPDATE ON PRIOR STORM: 💨⛈️ NOAA NWS Storm Prediction Center conducted a reanalysis of the severe weather from October 7th and their findings conclude the event meets DERECHO criteria. A derecho is a widespread, long-lived wind storm. Derechos are associated with bands of rapidly moving showers or thunderstorms variously known as bow echoes, squall lines, or quasi-linear convective systems. More info: https://ift.tt/2wr1YAI
