Miranda Warning System: "LOWELL — A homicide investigation is underway after a 15-year-old girl was found dead inside her South Lowell apartment on Friday, having suffered apparent gunshot wounds. The deceased teen was found by a family member shortly after 6 p.m. inside the apartment in the 1100 block of Lawrence Street, according to a joint press release from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Lowell Police Department. In a call to 911, the family member reported she observed “traumatic injuries to the body,” authorities said. Police arrived on scene to find the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
