Tyngsboro MA: On Saturday, 4/24 at 9:24 pm Tyngsborough Police Officers responded to the Tyngsborough bridge for a person reportedly preparing to jump from the bridge. Officer’s Donnelly & Sullivan arrived within 45 seconds of the call and found traffic stopped on the bridge, and a female standing on the North side of the bridge, on the opposite side of the railing, facing the water. The officers immediately physically restrained the female, pulling her away from the edge and lifting her over the railing, at which time she resisted, screaming at the officers that she just wanted to die. The officers were able to restrain her without injury to her or themselves. She was subsequently transported to Lowell General Hospital for evaluation, and a clinician through our Frontline initiative was contacted to respond and follow-up with the woman. Please join me in thanking Officers Donnelly & Sullivan for a job well done, their quick response and professional actions saved this woman’s life. They also applied their training to use the appropriate amount of force necessary to keep this woman and themselves safe. Chelmsford MA: Happening right now in the westlands area: The Central Mass Mosquito Control Project will be conducting its annual aerial larviciding program in Chelmsford on Saturday, April 24th. Pellets are distributed in wetland and ponding areas by helicopter. The product that is used is Bti, a natural bacteria that is certified organic and is non-toxic to humans, pets, and other wildlife. Maps and other information are on the Central Mass Mosquito Control website, (www.cmmcp.org) under “Seasonal Updates” as well as on the town website (www.townofchelmsford.us) More info: https://ift.tt/2wr1YAI

Got a couple questions on this, so: North Chelmsford MA: police, rescue, and trinity responded to 64 Washington St (the water dept building) for a medical alert notification from an alarm company. Upon arrival, found the building unoccupied; they checked the surrounding area for anyone in distress. They then got a call from a responsible party at the water dept saying that there was an accidental medical alert transmitted when the building was being locked up for the evening. CPD got a call that a car pulled into Gary's Ice Cream on Gorham St with the front end snagged and air bags deployed and then took off towards Billerica at high speed. Billerica found car driving on pond at at 45 mph and briefly refusing to pull over. Driver reported he hit a pole but couldn't remember where. He then admitted being involved in an MVA in Lowell.
