Tyngsboro MA: Chief Richard D. Howe reports that the Tyngsborough Police Department, as a result of a joint investigation conducted with the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Law Enforcement Division, arrested a Tyngsborough man on a warrant charging animal cruelty. ADEVALTER MAJESKY, AGE 50, OF TYNGSBOROUGH, was arrested on a warrant from Lowell District Court charging him with: Animal Cruelty Animal Cruelty by Custodian On Monday, Oct. 24, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Tyngsborough Police responded to 32 Willowdale Road to assist the MSPCA Law Enforcement Division with an investigation into a report of an injured pony. An investigation determined the pony noted in the initial report was okay, but while on scene at 32 Willowdale Road, MSPCA investigators and Tyngsborough Police saw in plain sight a thoroughbred horse that was injured and having trouble standing up. The MSPCA Law Enforcement department arranged for a veterinarian, as well as equine specialist from the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, who arrived on scene to evaluate the thoroughbred. The veterinarian determined the thoroughbred was suffering from sepsis and several severe injuries of various natures, and needed to be humanely euthanized immediately. The thoroughbred was humanely euthanized on scene and transported to The University of Connecticut for a necropsy. MAJESKY, who was already known to MSPCA investigators, was determined to be the owner and caretaker of the thoroughbred. On Wednesday, Oct. 26, as a result of the joint investigation, MSPCA Law Enforcement Officer Tia Devallon obtained a warrant for MAJESKY‘s arrest from Lowell District Court. Tyngsborough Police and MSPCA Law Enforcement took MAJESKY into custody on Wednesday afternoon. MSPCA Law Enforcement Chief Tom Grenham applauded the Tyngsborough Police Department for its help in the investigation. “This was the epitome of cooperation between two law enforcement departments and I thank Chief Howe and all of his officers,” said Chief Grenham. “I want to thank Tyngsborough Police Detectives and the MSPCA Law Enforcement Division for their thorough and diligent work on this case,” said Chief Howe. Chelmsford MA: At approximately 11:45 PM yesterday Troopers from the State Police-Concord Barracks, along with Chelmsford Fire and Police, responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 495 North in Chelmsford. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2018 Toyota C-HR was traveling in the right lane of the three-lane highway. Simultaneously, a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer was also northbound. For reasons under investigation, the two vehicles made contact, causing both vehicles to go off the roadway to the east. The Toyota C-HR went out of control, slid onto the soft shoulder of the road, and came to rest against a highway sign support. The Toyota operator was uninjured. The Chevrolet Trailblazer also left the roadway, slid and rolled across the soft shoulder and into the woods where it struck a tree and came to rest on its left side. The operator and sole occupant of the Trailblazer was partially ejected from the vehicle and was determined to be deceased on scene, he has been identified as Darren Chinn, 59, of Derry, N.H. The crash remains under investigation by Troop A of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and State Police Crime Scene Services Section. BILLERICA 一 Chief Roy Frost reports that Billerica Police are investigating a single vehicle crash and an incident that may have caused it this morning. On Saturday, Oct. 22, at approximately 8:05 a.m., Billerica Police received multiple reports of a single vehicle that struck a telephone pole in the area of 41 Boston Road. Upon arrival, officers found a motor vehicle that appeared to have sideswiped a telephone pole, which knocked down multiple wires. There were four occupants of the vehicle. Officers observed that the operator of the vehicle was suffering from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds, and that individual was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. The three other individuals had injuries consistent with a car accident and were also transported to a local hospital, with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. A preliminary investigation suggests that there may have been an altercation inside the vehicle prior to the crash resulting in the operator losing control of the vehicle. Due to the incident and subsequent investigation, Boston Road, Alpine Street and Lowell Street are closed. No charges have been filed. This is an on-going investigation. UPDATE 215PM: A trusted MWS junior staffer reports the high school fields have been closed down, with police on scene, possibly for helicopter landing zone use. UPDATE 130PM: dive team now in the water where boat was found. UPDATE 1PM: airwing en route, state police sending their own divers. No fly zone being established with FAA to deter media helicopters. Lowell dive team arriving. Billerica K9 being requested to assist in on shore search. UPDATE: Lowell and state police dive team requested, as well as state police airwing. North Chelmsford MA: possible missing kayaker on Freeman Lake. Sounds like an empty flipped over canoe was found around 12:15pm, someone was seen fishing for hours prior in it by multiple witnesses.
