MWS update at February 01, 2021 at 05:43PM

Chelmsford MA: In light of the snowstorm, we will have a remote learning day tomorrow in the Chelmsford Public Schools. Given the duration of the storm, we would not have sufficient time to clean-up our school parking lots or sidewalks in time for arrival tomorrow morning. With February vacation just two weeks away, I want to maintain momentum on learning. We will follow the normal school start time for morning instruction and normal Tuesday class schedule, however students will be “dismissed” for the day at the normal time in-person learning typically concludes (high school level at 11:19 a.m., middle school level at 12:00 p.m., and elementary school level at 1:00 p.m.) – we will not have afternoon classes tomorrow (Tuesday). This school year has been difficult on everyone. The reduced day will allow students to get off of their computers, go outside in the afternoon, play in the snow, and enjoy a little downtime. In the event of significant power outages overnight, I will have to reevaluate this decision and possibly cancel school in the morning. If you do not receive a follow-up message from me in the morning, we are proceeding with a remote learning day as outlined above. More info: https://ift.tt/2wr1YAI
