It’s almost Halloween, which means that law enforcement agencies around the country are warning parents about the possibility of finding fentanyl-laced Skittles in their children’s trick-or-treat buckets. Or whatever. That's crap. Your kids candy doesn't need to be x-rayed, or individually inspected. They aren't in danger of being poisoned, drugged, or cut by a razor blade. They ARE in danger of being hit by a car. It's dark, kids are running from house to house. They are 3x more likely to be hit by a car on Halloween night than any other day of the year.
