Westford MA: Westford Police and Fire Departments Respond to Drowning Incident On Friday, June 27, 2025, at approximately 1:14 p.m., the Westford Police and Fire Departments responded to a residence on Dunstable Road for the report of an 83-year-old female who was unconscious and not breathing. While officers were responding, Westford Public Safety Telecommunicators were informed that the individual was located on a dock at the rear of the residence and had been found in the water of Long Sought for Pond. Officers arrived on scene and immediately undertook life saving measures, including CPR, and assisted Westford Fire personnel with life saving measures. Despite these measures, the female party was pronounced deceased on scene. Currently there is no suspicion of foul play and no danger to the public. The investigation remains on going and is being conducted by the Westford Police Department Special Services Division along with Massachusetts State Police Troopers assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office The Westford Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim and asks that members of the public and media respect the family’s privacy during this tragic time. The Westford Police Department would like to thank all the officers and telecommunicators from the Westford Police Department and the Westford Fire Department personnel who responded within minutes of receiving this call and immediately took action to provide aid to the victim.
